A Year In The Making, Part 2

Bye bye Michigan, Hello Chicago!

Chong and I were actually looking for the AYCE hot pot restaurant but I really needed to pee and it was cold so after walking up and down the blocks 2 times without seeing the restaurant, we decided to eat at Joy Yee (which was really good).  After ordering our food, Chong looked out the window and guess what? The AYCE hot pot restaurant was right next door!  Just our luck. Oh well, it’s a sign that we’re going back to Chicago!

The food was really good at Joy Yee.  We had the Vietnamese appetizer sampler and the sugarcane shrimp was really good (Chong has a love/banned relationship with seafood).  He ordered the Thai basil pork and I had the beef shabu shabu, which was humongous!

Window shopping in Indian Town

More Korean food at Cho Sun Ok Restaurant.  This was a really good restaurant; although it was tiny, it was packed and there were people waiting in line to get a table (which is always a good sign!).

Our favorite hotel, Hyatt Place

Our favorite place to visit, Mituswa

Chicago, you’ll always have a special place in my heart!
